How long has W.O.T. been up?

All in all, the site goes back to 2001. It actually is a couple of years older than that. It went through a name change or two, several layout changes, and various hosts. But early 2001 it was WasteOfTechnology.com and the rest is uneventful history. The current layout has been up since October of 2006.

What happened to the Man of the Week section?

The Man of the Week and Broad of the Week sections were put into place four years ago or so as a momentum tool I figured by claiming that I would have a Man of the Week every week it would force me to work on this. And it did. But by the end it was just a chore. I didn’t always have something to write after doing over 150 and it sometimes turned out like crap. I changed the title to the "Spotlight" section and you can find all of the write-ups over there. I’ll try to get them up weekly or every week or two, but I won’t be forcing myself to churn out an uninteresting article. Quality over quantity.

What happened to …….?

I’ve taken a few pages down during this layout change. Some of them I didn’t like too much, others I just didn’t think anyone was viewing and others were taking up too much bandwidth. Most however is buried on the site somewhere in the archives, use the search feature.

I’ve gotten this several times. I have no idea where it comes from. I pay for the site out of my pocket, spend most of my free time dealing with it and put more effort into it than when working on anything at my real job. To let you know the few ads I do have up off and on do nothing but balance out the hosting fees, which annually are over a couple of hundred dollars. I’m still way in the negative on this site.
