In my many hours spent with the Discovery Channel, I’ve come to know and love Bear Grylls, host of the show Man Vs. Wild. In fact, Bear should and probably will have his own spotlight made sometime on this crappy website in the near future. Until then, this point will have to be made.
He’s great for many reasons. On his show he has been featured biting live fish in half, throwing logs at rabbits, eating dead zebras by biting through their flesh and getting naked many times. It was when I stumbled upon a live chat transcript with Bear on Discovery.com that I read him say something that really caught my eye. Just when I thought I couldn’t respect this nature boy anymore I read his closing comment:
Bear: Thanks so much for your support. There has been an amazing number of emails, more than anyone has expected. In the words of Bodi in “Point Break,” “This was stimulating, but I’m out of here!”
Bear Grylls a Point Break fan? Yes indeed-he is the man.

True True Bear is the man. Thank you for informing me that he loves Point Break. Truly one of the finest films ever to be screened before my eyes.
